Inland Regional Center employees were at their holiday banquet when a mass shooting began at 11 a.m on Dec. 2, 2015. The shooting left 14 people dead, 21 wounded and was the start of a four hour manhunt for two suspects. Officers located the black SUV the suspects fled in and gunfire ensued. The two suspects were killed and one officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the shootout. A third person who was detained was cleared of any connection to the attack and released.
