-Philadelphia Stories
Painter Deirdre White was given the task of selecting a famous woman from the Delaware Valley for Philadelphia Stories, a literary magazine. The project consisted of selecting the woman and then creating an artwork representing her. White chose Helga Testorf, the art model.


-Apiary Magazine
Apiary Magazine is dedicated to helping young and established writers in Philadelphia as well as helping connect the community with local literature.

-Strawberry Mansion: Recreation Center Helps Children Learn and Grow
Cecil B. Moore Recreation Center provides a safe learning environment for children to take part in activities such as martial arts, cooking, theater arts and an after school program.


-Strawberry Mansion: Widener Library Block Party Teaches Vocabulary
The Widener Library had their first block party, Words at Play Vocabulary Initiative, hosted by PNC. Words at Play is a community-wide initiative to show the importance of learning vocabulary at a young age through playing, singing and reading.


-Bicycle Surplus Program
Temple’s new bike program provides affordable bikes for students.


-Art Market at Tyler
Tyler students, alumni and other artists sell their crafts at the Art Market at Tyler during homecoming weekend. Studio tours and art galleries were also available


-Oktoberfest
Brauhaus Schmitz held their annual Oktoberfest Street Festival in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
